Peugeot has launched a new campaign aimed at reminding Britons that buying a new car is an "exciting and joyful" experience.
The French firm's Drive Away Happy campaign is to be fronted by Life On Mars star John Simm, who has been unveiled as the new "voice of Peugeot" and will narrate the firm's advertising campaigns.
Morgan Lecoupeur, UK marketing director at Peugeot, explained: "2012 is set to be a year of regeneration for the Peugeot brand with several exciting new product launches on the horizon including the world's first diesel electric hybrid car and the hugely anticipated new 208.
"What better way to start than with an optimistic campaign that emphasises the positive emotions associated with driving a new car."
The news comes just weeks after the Peugeot Bipper was named City Van of the Year 2011 at the Fleet Van Awards.
According to the judging panel, the vehicle stood out because of its compact proportions, efficient HDi diesel engine and impressive load volume.
