Aaron Smith, Assistant Sales Manager at Bristol Street Motors Gloucester Renault, has been recognised with a national award.
He has been announced as the Assistant Sales Manager of the Year at the prestigious Vertu Motors plc 2023 CEO Management Awards, which acknowledge colleagues who have performed exceptionally well and delivered the highest levels of leadership throughout the year.
Nominations are made by Operational Directors to the plc Board, which selects the winner of each category.
Aaron’s nomination noted that ‘Aaron has not been with the Group very long at all, having started at Hyundai, just short of two years in total. However, during his relatively short tenure, the contribution he has made to the Gloucester dealership and the wider division cannot be underestimated.’
Like all the winners, Aaron received a phone call from the Chief Executive, Robert Forrester, to congratulate him on his achievement, to thank him for his commitment to delivering results for the business, and for the work he has undertaken over the year.
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu Motors plc, said: “Aaron is a living example of our values and a very worthy winner of this award. He takes huge pride in his work and, despite only being with us for 18 months or so, has made a huge difference to the dealership’s performance.
“Bristol Street Motors Gloucester Renault performs over and above what we would expect from such a small dealership, with Aaron playing a huge part in its outstanding contribution to the business. I don’t mind saying that this used to be an underperforming site but with Aaron and the rest of the team, they are now flying.”
Aaron Smith said: “I’m delighted that my hard work and perseverance has been recognised by the business. I know that across the Group there are some amazing colleagues who do an outstanding job, so I am truly surprised to have been chosen. I am really looking forward to seeing what is next with Bristol Street Motors and how I can help develop my career while supporting the business to grow.”
