Fiat 500 named Hottest Sport Compact at SEMA
The Fiat 500, fast becoming the most written-about supermini of the year, has hit the headlines yet again at an industry event in Las Vegas.
This year's SEMA show in Nevada saw the re-imagined Italian city car named Hottest Sport Compact.
It tops an eventful year for the 500, which has been given not one but two makeovers by fashion powerhouse Gucci and received the tuning treatment from Abarth.
And to make this latest win all the more impressive, the plucky 500 saw off competition in its category from the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, the Chevrolet Sonic, Ford's Focus and the Honda CR-Z, Insideline reported.
Other cars left in the 500's wake in Las Vegas included the Lexus IS, Mazda2, Scion tC and the Subaru Impreza.
Meanwhile, the Fiat 500's profile was recently given a significant boost by one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Actress and Singer Jennifer Lopez is currently fronting an ad campaign in which she drives the motor around the streets of the Bronx in New York City.
