Hyundai plans to step up UK presence in 2012
Hyundai is looking to increase its standing in the UK in 2012 with the launch of a number of new models.
The South Korean firm has confirmed that it will expand its line-up over the coming months with as many as eight new models set to hit showrooms.
There are currently 152 Hyundai dealerships in the UK, but anticipating significant demand for its new models, the firm has revealed that another 29 will be opened in 2012.
Hyundai Motor UK president and chief executive officer Tony Whitehorn commented: "The UK is a rapidly-growing market for Hyundai and having on board the right franchises is integral to the further development of our brand.
"We now have 152 dealers throughout the UK and the growth of the network will help us to deliver the best level of service to our customers."
The comments come as the latest J.D. Power and Associates Customer Retention Study revealed that Hyundai scored highest among all automotive brands, beating its nearest rival by four percentage points.
