Some cars may have different sized tyres at the front and rear of the car. You can find out the size on the sidewall of the tyres, which will be displayed as a string of numbers. The car�s tyre width is the first three digits marked on your tyre. The next two digits showcase the height of the tyre as a percentage of the tyre width. For example, the height of the tyre may be 30, or 30% of the tyre width.

The next letter in the code shows you the tyre construction. Usually, car tyres are made with a radial construction, so you�ll likely see a letter R. After this, the two number indicate the tyre diameter. For example, the tyre diameter may be 15, or 16 inches.

Finally, the last two numbers display the load rating or maximum capacity of a passenger car tyre. And the last letter indicates the speed rating of your vehicle � the higher the letter alphabetically, the faster the car.
