Alfa Romeo will showcase two new engines for its sporty MiTo compact car at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
The model will feature both a revolutionary 0.9 TwinAir TB 85bhp engine and a 1.3 JTDm 85bhp motor with the former developed by Fiat Powertrain.
Its Twin Air engine has the lowest value of CO2 emissions with petrol engines in its class of 98 grams per kilometre, while it develops 85 break horse power at 5,500rpm and torque of 145Nm at 2,000 rpm, the carmaker explained.
Additionally, Alfa will be exhibiting its 4C Concept for the first time, featuring a fluid metal exterior colour that shows the smooth and sinuous lines of the car.
The two-seater has a wheelbase of less than 2.4 metres and an approximate length of four metres.
Earlier this month, Alfa's MiTo beat 400-metre champion Iwan Thomas across London in a competition to showcase the car's credentials as a city run.
