For those who have ever had dreams of being famed fictional spy James Bond, an upcoming auction at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show could see you move a step closer to that fantasy.
A 1965 Aston Martin DB5 will be available for purchase, courtesy of Silverstone Auctions, at the Birmingham-based event. Held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) the exhibition will showcase a number of other classic and desirable cars from years past.
However, for many, the dream might have to remain just that, as the car is expected to fetch in the region of £300,000.
Inkeeping with the Bond theme, the car is on display in the iconic Silver Birch colour and comes with right-hand drive.
Younger Bond fans will recognise the model from its most recent cameo appearance in the latest 007 film Skyfall.
Managing director of Silverstone Auctions Nick Whale said: “This is probably one of the most sought-after models in the world and it’s easy to see why. It’s so much more than just a motor car, it’s style personified and possibly one of the best British cars ever made.”
The car will go under the hammer at the sales event, which takes place on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th of November.
