Bristol Street Motors has demonstrated the value of its Bristol Street Motors Buy Online service with a customer in rural Wales taking delivery of his new vehicle.
Tony Webb, exchanged his Fiat Panda for a Dacia Logan, which made the 198 mile-journey from Bristol Street Motors Bradford Renault, to be delivered to his home in Monmouth, rural Wales. He made the purchase through Bristol Street Motor’s Buy Online, the UK’s first purely web-based used car sales platform.
Tony wanted a replacement vehicle that was economical, low in road tax and would suit his family and dog. After coming across Bristol Street Motors Buy Online, he did some research on the company, which is owned by Vertu Motors plc, and after arranging finance online he agreed a delivery time and date with Mick Harper, a sales executive at the Bristol Street Motors Bradford Renault dealership.
Buy Online allows customers to choose from more than 4000 used vehicles. Customers can complete their purchase in under five minutes if they have the funds in place, or can arrange financial packages online if they don’t. The vehicle can be delivered to any home address with a UK mainland postcode, without the customer ever having to visit a dealership if they choose or delivered to their local dealership if they prefer.
Tony said: “As I live in a rural village with only 100 homes, I found it difficult to find something that met the criteria I had in mind, close to where I lived. I was extremely impressed with the Buy Online process. There was enough information for me to make a decision and I found the part-exchange valuation to be particularly fair.
“The service I received was very professional and the features of the car were thoroughly explained to me on delivery. The road conditions near my home were really muddy, but the car had been cleaned moments before and arrived in a pristine condition.
“My family and friends thought I was mad buying a car online but I would definitely do it again, it was easy and saved me a lot of time travelling to different dealerships, which are in short supply in my area!”
Robert Forrester, chief executive officer of Vertu Motors plc, parent company of Bristol Street Motors said: “Everyone is different when it comes to buying a car and we want to cover every aspect of that process. With the introduction of Bristol Street Motors Buy Online, customers have the option of purchasing a car from the comfort of their own home, without compromising on first class service.”
The design of the Buy Online platform allows potential customers to choose from three different paths to purchase a car:
