Bristol Street Motors Redditch Ford has recruited a young man, who benefitted from its support for a sports and education programme run by Redditch United Football Club.
The dealership recently agreed to support Redditch United’s Football Academy for a third year.
The Academy is a performance football programme offering students the opportunity to develop their football skills alongside nationally recognised qualifications at College and University level to help open doors to a variety of career paths.
Nick Poole,18, who lives in Redditch, has started as a trainee parts adviser at the dealership in Battens Drive.
Simon Parsons, general manager at Bristol Street Motors Redditch Ford, said: “Our support for the Redditch United Academy demonstrates our commitment to being an integral part of the community.
“The Academy does a sterling job in furthering the abilities and ambitions of those aged 16 to 18, who prefer an alternative to the usual academic route.
“While Nick was chosen through our normal recruitment processes, involving a range of candidates from different backgrounds, his qualifications, personality, and confidence are a credit to the Academy.”
Chris Swan, Chairman of Redditch United Academy, said: “We are very grateful for the continued support of Bristol Street Motors Redditch Ford, which is vital to us helping teenagers reach their full potential.
“The aim of the Academy is to equip our students with the self-assurance and skills to help them into the world of work or further education and we could not achieve this without the backing of organisations such as Bristol Street Motors Redditch Ford.”
