Held on the grounds of Goodwood House in West Sussex, the annual motorsports extravaganza takes place every summer and celebrates racing vehicles from both the past and present.
The four-day event incorporates the iconic hill climb, which sees road, race cars and bikes hurtle up the hill and former F1 and IndyCar racing driver, Max Chilton broke the Goodwood hill record previously set by the all-electric Volkswagen ID.R back in 2019.
Chilton smashed the previous record by 0.8 seconds, conquering the hill climb in just 39.08 seconds, behind the wheel of the Speirling EV, designed by McMurtry Automotive.
Throughout the weekend, there was also a chance for Formula 1 fanatics to get closer to iconic race machines from Mercedes, Ferrari, Williams, and McLaren.
You might have spotted our Bristol Street Motors hospitality tent if you were at the festival, but if not we’ve rounded up a few highlights from the weekend.
There's less than a week to go until the British Grand Prix takes place at Silverstone and we asked for your help to design your very own racing helmet for Click 2 Drive W Series racing team drivers, Alice Powell, and Jessica Hawkins.
Alice and Jessica are getting ready to take on the British leg of the W Series 2022 racing season, which is held alongside the Formula 1 Lenovo Grand Prix 2022 at Silverstone. We had some incredible entries and on Saturday, Alice, Jessica, and guest host Lee Mackenzie announced the winners.
The winning designs had a British theme, with Alice’s helmet taking inspiration from her flight in a Royal Air Force Hawk earlier this year with W Series, whereas Jessica's winning helmet incorporated a union jack flag.
With anticipation building around the British Grand Prix, we also gave you the chance to see if you had what it takes to beat Alice Powell around Silverstone in our ‘Hot Lap’ simulator challenge.
While we were enjoying all the action at Goodwood, we were also showing our support for the BTCC EXCELR8 racing team who were taking on Croft. The race was broadcast live at our tent and our W Series drivers caught up with Tom Ingram and team owner Justina Williams.
Watch the exclusive video of the pre-race conversation below:
We were delighted to see Tom Ingram take the podium as the new British Touring Car Championship points leader and Daniel Lloyd claim a double victory. Congratulations to both!
There was also a chance to re-create your own podium victory photo (minus the champagne spraying) and take a closer look around the race cars that will be driven by Alice Powell and Jessica Hawkins during the W Series 2022 season.
