The practical and distinctive Citroen C4 Cactus has followed in the footsteps of the Grand C4 Picasso last year, by picking up a category win in the Tow Car Awards 2015. This latest honour adds to a host of high profile accolades achieved by the model since its launch in September 2014.
The New Citroen C4 Cactus was thoroughly tested against a number criterion by an expert team of judges from Practical Caravan, The Camping and Caravanning Club and What Car? at the MIRA proving ground in April.
The judges rated the highly-acclaimed C4 Cactus for aspects including high-speed stability, emergency braking, hill-starts and everyday practicality, naming it the winner in the 'Ultralight Tow Car' category.
The unconventional family hatchback set a high standard, with the judging panel commenting; "If you tow a trailer tent, and don't want or need a bigger car, the Citroen C4 Cactus is a great choice. The Citroen shows a reasonable turn of speed, but stability is more important than pace when towing and this is where the Cactus really presses home its advantage."
Mike Wilson, Head of Citroen Marketing C4 Cactus, collected the award at a ceremony held at The Sculpture Gallery, Woburn Abbey. Wilson said; "It's brilliant news that the C4 Cactus continues to set the benchmark in this highly competitive segment. This Tow Car Award adds to the impressive catalogue of achievements for this ground-breaking new Citroen model and ably demonstrates its credentials as a highly versatile and practical family hatchback."
