Citroen is poised to update its C5 range with new equipment and styling.
Both the Citroen C5 Saloon and Tourer models will receive a revamp next month, boasting a number of new features that improve safety, efficiency and visual appeal.
Perhaps most significantly, the C5 range now benefits from a full Euro 5 compliant engine line-up, with a 1.5 HDi 110hp Euro 5 replacing the previous Euro 4 version, improving fuel efficiency and lowering carbon emissions.
Another major change is the inclusion of Citroen's new eTouch emergency and assistance system, which enables the driver to automatically or manually make emergency calls using a SIM card built into the car.
The headlights of both cars will include specially-designed LEDs, while the rear light clusters boast a new 'dark crystal' design and safety-enhancing cornering lights remain standard.
Citroen states: "Already widely recognised as one of the most stylish and well-equipped models its segment, the visual changes to the Citroen C5 range are subtle yet assured, while the efficiency and equipment upgrades further strengthen the model's technologically advanced credentials."
The new C5 range will be available from November 1st in 1.6, two and three-litre versions.
The C5 Tourer was named best estate car at the What Diesel Car of the Year Awards 2009.
