The brand new Citroen Relay will make its debut at the Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show at the NEC Birmingham later this year, the manufacturer has revealed.
In preparation for its launch in UK showrooms and forecourts during the third quarter of 2014, Citroen will present the all new Relay alongside other succesful models, such as the Nemo, Berlingo and Dispatch.
The event is expected to show-off Citroen's dynamic range of commercial models for the benefit of workers up and down the country.
While full details of the model will be released at the CV show, head of commercial vehicles and business centre operations for Citroen Jeremy Smith already has high hopes for the latest machine.
“The Relay is a key model in our LCV range. By the application of innovative technology the new model will improve and build upon the operational advantages of its predecessor. These include class-leading payloads, as well as one of the largest, most practical load compartments in its class,” he said.
It is fully expected that the new Relay will have all the model configurations as seen in the current range, offering a wide range of choice for UK businesses.
The new 2014 Berlingo is set to continue the title of Citroen's best-selling LCV in 2014, with the latest edition coming with improved fuel economy, emission reductions and fresh exterior changes. Interior space and in-cab storage will also be improved, making it perfect for those who need a great deal of space.
Citroen's Dispatch model has been growing in popularity in recent times and the manufacturer wants to keep this momentum going by introducing a new option pack. This offers passenger front airbags, side airbags and a height-adjustable drivers seat with armrest and lumbar support.
Nemo, Citroen's smallest LCV, is one of the UK's most economical vans and will also be on display at the CV show. It offers the highest payloads and greatest load space volume in the compact city van sector, making it a desirable choice for small businesses.
