The one millionth Fiat 500 has been assembled, with a production line in Poland recording the incredible feat.
Seen to be the icon of Italian style for affordable vehicle options in the motoring world, the super-compact city car has won more than 40 awards in the industry since its launch five years ago.
One of the key selling points of the Fiat 500 is the raft of personalisation options on offer to drivers. The choice of exterior colours, interiors, engines, fuel systems and equipment are all left up to the person splashing the cash.
In order to highlight the amount of customisation that can be carried out on the Fiat 500, the one millionth model is a Lounge option, designed with a three-layer Funk White exterior and fitted with a reliable 69 HP 1.2 engine.
Records have never been too far away from the Fiat 500 either. It was the first car to offer road users seven airbags as standard, the first 3.55-metre-long vehicle to achieve the prestigious 5-star EuroNCAP crash safety rating and the first to try out Fiat's revolutionary two-cylinder TwinAir engine.
