Fiat has launched a new limited-edition version of its popular Punto supermini, the Punto Jet Black.
The original model has been a popular one with drivers for decades now and the firm hopes that this new, attractive version will also capture the imagination of motorists.
Specifically, with its dark and moody exterior, Fiat hopes that the car will appeal to a young, sporty audience. An on-the-road price of just £12,000 is also likely to sway many people.
Interestingly, the firm has said that just 300 vehicles are set to be made initially, with all of them featuring a nimble and agile 1.4 8v 77hp engine.
This is designed to offer a good deal of speed and acceleration while remaining extremely efficient when it comes to fuel usage.
A lot of thought has gone into the appearance of the car, with Fiat experts opting for Crossover Black Metallic paint combined with Jet Black badging for a truly striking look.
Also, the car will include matt black stripes and 17-inch, 12-spoke smoked Sportline alloy wheels.
What's more, many of these excellent additions are available with the standard model, as well as plenty of others too.
These include a body-coloured rear spoiler and side skirts, leather steering wheel and gear knob, as well as automatic climate control.
Add this to dark tinted privacy glass, electric front windows, rear parking sensors, sports suspension, adaptive cornering fog lights, cruise control, Start & Stop, voice-controlled Blue&Me multimedia system and five airbags, then you have an impressive deal.
Elena Bernardelli is the marketing director for Fiat Group Automobiles UK and she said features such as these would all help make the new vehicle a hit with the firm's target market.
"The Punto Jet Black has striking black exterior details which will certainly get you noticed," she explained.
"With its distinctive styling, comprehensive specification and affordable pricing, I am sure it will be very popular with younger customers."
