A popular 4x4 vehicle from Fiat has bagged another industry award from a prestigious national publication.
The Fiat Panda Cross was named the best car in the Junior Crossover class at the Total Off Road Magazine 4x4 of the Year Awards.
Judges praised a number of aspects of the model, including its handling, style and ease of controls, particularly focusing on its 1.3-litre 16V MultiJet turbodiesel engine.
They added that it can "do remarkable things off road" and is also "pretty acceptable on the motorway".
Elena Bernardelli, marketing director at Fiat Group Automobiles UK and Ireland, said: "The Fiat Panda Cross is one of a long line of Pandas that have surprised and delighted customers for years. I am pleased that it is still collecting top honours - it certainly deserves them."
The Panda Cross returns 42.1mpg in the urban cycle, while its CO2 emissions figure stands at 136g/km.
Standard equipment includes electric power steering, air conditioning, ESP, alloy wheels and radio/CD/MP3 player.
Fiat notes that the Panda Cross gives motorists "off-road fun with city car fuel efficiency".
