The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is the latest vehicle to pass the Euro NCAP safety rating with flying colours, achieving an impressive five-star rating.
Success in the crash test has seen the vehicle become one of the top models in its class for collision safety.
One particular special feature has helped the car to reach such a notable achievement - Suzuki's own Total Effective Control Technology (TECT). This system is intended to improve occupant protection in terms of impact absorption, while maintaining a low weight.
This is achieved through high usage of tensile steel, which helps to reduce how heavy the vehicle is, while still having top levels of crashworthiness.
Other features such as a speed limiter - which the driver can set to a maximum speed - in addition to seven airbags, and seat and head restraints also contribute to Suzuki's high scoring performance in the safety tests.
The crossover model went on sale earlier this year and is also a class leader when it comes to low CO2 emissions.
