Santa Pod Raceway is to host a brand new event for Ford fans this September.
Ford Fest will celebrate Fords from throughout the ages, from the old to the new to the heavily modified. Both clubs and individuals will be able to enter their pride and joy into the show and shine competition.
The day-long festival to celebrate the UK's most popular car brand will take place on Sunday 13th September at the race track in Podington, Northants. A substantial retail village, camping facilities and a funfair will contribute to the festival atmosphere.
The world famous drag strip at the track will be open to visitors throughout the day as part of Ford's 'Run What Ya Brung' competition. For just £20, showgoers will be able to compete against each other, with four runs on the famous US-style quarter-mile drag strip.
Santa Pod will also be showcasing their own 'Fireforce 3' jet car on the day. The famous dragster boasts a Pratt and Whitney engine from a Sikorsky CH-54A Skycrane Helicopter, which develops approximately 10,000bhp and 5,500lb/ft of torque. Each 6-second run of the 400m track sees the car use 120 litres of aviation fuel.
Tickets for the festival are now available at fordfestshow.co.uk.
