Ford has picked up yet another award to add to its impressive collection, this time courtesy of its S-MAX model.
The car was named the Best MPV by BusinessCar magazine, marking the eighth award the model has picked up from the annual ceremony in seven years.
Editor of BusinessCar Paul Barker said the S-MAX is a favourite of the magazine and the fleet community.
"It is still a class leader: practicality, low running costs, style and enjoyable handling mean S-MAX is peerless – and our readers obviously agree," he said.
The versatility of the model is just one of the reasons readers were so compelled to vote for it, with folding second- and third-row seats allowing for up to seven passengers or providing additional loading space.
It also comes with a range of engines, including 1.6 and 2.0-litre turbo-powered EcoBoost petrol versions, and a choice of three TDCi diesel power units of either 1.6, 2.0 or 2.2-litre.
Ford of Britain fleet director Phil Hollins said: “We always knew that the Ford S-MAX was ahead of its time – that it continues as BusinessCar’s Best MPV year after year is proof positive, especially because this endorsement comes from the fleet industry itself.”
