Hyundai awarded Best Car Manufacturer gong
Hyundai, which is responsible for vehicles such as the i800 and Santa Fe, has been handed a prestigious gong by Which? magazine.
The firm was recognised as the publication's Best Car Manufacturer at its recent annual awards ceremony in London.
It beat rivals Mazda, Skoda Toyota and BMW to the top prize and was praised in particular for its fuel efficient and affordable i20 and i30 models, which won Best Buy recognition in their respective categories.
Which? chief executive Peter Vicary-Smith explained that the awards mean the firm offers "outstanding products or services".
"It must also deliver exceptional value and a great customer experience," he said.
"This is especially important at a time when consumers are really feeling the pinch."
Hyundai UK marketing director Tony Whitehorn explained that the firm is delighted to have been given the gong.
"We strive to give our customers the very best value for money by offering quality vehicles that are well equipped, reliable and affordable in terms of price," he noted.
In other news, Hyundai last month revealed that it had sold five million vehicles in Europe since 1977.
