Hyundai has unveiled its latest concept model at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, with the Intrado created to prove how the company is looking to commit to future innovations.
The car comes with a super-lightweight structure, made using advance materials and joined together by what Hyundai describes as a "revolutionary" technique, which could completely change how cars are constructed in the future.
It also has a next-generation fuel cell drivetrain that is lighter and smaller than what powers the Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell.
The car has been inspired by the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design and comes following a collaboration between Hyundai Motor's design and engineering teams.
Named after the underside of an aircraft's wing, the Intrado is intended to mimic the freedom and efficiency associated with flying.
Peter Schreyer, president and CDO of Hyundai Motor Group, said: "I believe in the power of mobility to deliver emotional as well as physical connections and this car helps us find again the joy of discovery. Intrado shows that future cars can be relevant and exciting.”
