A new green version of Hyundai's popular ix35 model is set to be unveiled at a forthcoming industry event.
From September 8th to 11th London will play host to the annual EcoVelocity event, and the Korean manufacturer is using the show as the platform to give the new ix35 FCEV its UK debut.
According to Hyundai, its third-generation ix35 offers the same convenience as its combustion engine rivals and offer drivers a range of 360 miles and a top speed of 100mph.
The model, which uses fuel cell electric technology, also boasts an impressive 0-62mph time of under 13 seconds.
Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai UK's managing director, said: "We are extremely excited to be showcasing the ix35 FCEV in the UK for the first time at EcoVelocity.
"Hyundai is a world leader in the development of hydrogen-powered technology and is constantly researching and developing modes of transportation that use alternative fuels at the Eco-technology research institute in Mabuk, Korea."
