Skoda has provided a ‘first look’ at its new entry-level battery electric vehicle, coming soon.
Say hello to the Epiq. It’s a compact SUV crossover that will suit active lifestyles and busy families.
All information so far is from a pre-production concept, however it’s unlikely to change too much before the official release in 2025.
Read on to find out what to expect.
The Skoda Epiq has been given a title that fits perfectly with the brand’s nomenclature:
Everything about the new car is epic – from the way it looks to the space inside!
The Skoda Epiq follows the brand’s new design language: Modern Solid. At its core, this means the new model will be powerful, functional, and authentically Skoda.
Despite its compact size, it retains a bold and commanding presence. The familiar Skoda grille seen on other models in the range has been restyled into a gloss black ‘Tech-Deck Face’. This houses intelligent assistance features such as a distance radar and front camera.
T-shaped LED daytime running lights and cube-effect Matrix LED headlights ensure excellent visibility. Plus, their striking appearance adds to the overall impression of the vehicle.
The low, sloping roof blends into the spoiler, optimising aerodynamic efficiency.
Additionally, orange accents on the roof rails, wheels, and bumpers provide the Epiq with extra visual allure.
With its innovative new design language, the Skoda Epiq epitomises modernity.
The interior of the new Epiq exudes a minimalist vibe, consistent with the Modern Solid design ethos.
Sustainable materials have been used throughout, ensuring durability for long-lasting wear and tear.
The vehicle is packed with a variety of new connectivity technologies and assistance features. Expect the latest-generation infotainment system, for your convenience.
The cabin is spacious and open, with plenty of room for five adults inside. A number of Simply Clever compartments provide handy storage for your day-to-day items. Plus, there is room for up to 490 litres of luggage in the boot, allowing you to transport items with ease.
The Skoda Epiq will be officially unveiled in 2025 and is expected to be affordably priced. The model will go up against the likes of the PEUGEOT e-2008, Vauxhall Mokka Electric, and the electric Ford Puma once this is released later in 2024.
