James Norwood has been voted the PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ League One Player of the month for August. In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the Ipswich Town striker won with 48% of the vote, beating Sunderland’s Chris Maguire, who finished in second place with 22%.
In the third of four divisional votes carried out over nine days via Snack’s digital and social networks and supported by top flight football clubs and press, it was evident that the striker’s impressive potent goal threat last month – scoring five times and registering two assists - has resonated with football fans up and down the country.
The full list of contenders from the final shortlist polled were as follows:
� James Norwood (Ipswich Town) - 48%
� Chris Maguire (Sunderland) –22%
� Michael Rose (Coventry) – 10%
� Marko Marosi (Coventry) - 9%
� Ivan Toney (Peterborough) - 6%
� Alex Jakubiak (Gillingham) - 6%
