During the winter, there isn’t much call for air conditioning and coupled with the wet weather, it is the perfect breeding ground for mould! It grows deep inside the system and then when the weather starts to warm, the bacteria can pass through the system and into the cabin. These bacteria, when inhaled, can cause respiratory issues including a slight tightening of the chest, sneezing and coughing. In extreme cases, it can lead to infectious pneumonia, although this is extremely rare!
Usually, there will be a strange smell coming out of your vents so take notice!
The best thing to do is keep your car A/C regularly serviced and get the filters renewed regularly!
The weather might not be warm enough to use the A/C just yet but we are offering a Winter Health Check for £29.99!
