In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the in-form Plymouth striker won with a staggering 47% of the vote for October, beating Sunderland’s Adam Matthews, who finished in second place with 28%.
In the third of four divisional votes carried out over seven days via Snack’s digital and social networks and supported by top flight football clubs and press, it was clear that Ladapo’s eye-catching performances over the last month – in which he scored more than any other third tier player (6 goals) - has resonated supporters up and down the country.
The full list of contenders from the final shortlist polled were as follows:
� Freddie Ladapo (Plymouth Argyle) - 47%
� Adam Matthews (Sunderland) – 28%
� Simon Eastwood (Oxford United) – 8%
� Brad Potts (Barnsley) - 8%
� Ian Henderson (Rochdale) - 5%
� Tony McMahon (Oxford United) - 3%
