There's a new limited edition Renault Megane, called the Knight Edition, that's just on sale with some rather generous extra kit. But there is a problem. It's only on sale until the autumn of this year, so if you like the look of it, you better get your interest expressed.
The new Renault Megane Knight Edition is priced competitively too, with the range starting at £17,095 – for the hatchback variant - which is just a £350 premium over the Megane Expression+, despite the enticing extras. These extras include dark-chrome wheels, GT-style bumpers, electrically folding door mirrors and paint-saving rear parking sensors.
The Knight Edition is offered with a choice of two economy-focused engines; a 1.6-litre 16V petrol or a very low emission dCi 110 Stop & Start diesel. There's a full choice of body styles too, with the Hatch, Coupe and Sport Tourer (estate) all making their way into the Knight Edition sales brochure.
It's the diesel engine that everyone will be talking about, mind, with the dCi 110 Stop & Start being the best-seller of all the Renault engines. It now makes more torque too – up 20Nm to 260Nm, and enjoys lower CO2 emissions (90g/km), and an improved and impressive fuel consumption figure of 80.7mpg.
The Hatch is the more affordable of the range, priced at £17,095, the Coupe comes in at £17,595, while the Sport Tourer tips the scales at £17,895. And it's the Sports Tourer that brings the most boot space; from 524 to 1,600 litres, depending on rear seat position.
The new limited edition Renault Megane Knight Edition is on sale now, until the autumn of this year.
