The Mazda 3 MPS has been revealed, complete with a striking makeover that is bound to turn heads.
All seven versions of the Japanese car maker's hatchback range have been tweaked to give them a bit more of an edge.
The exterior, for example, has seen the introduction of harsher-looking 18-inch gunmetal alloys and a larger rear wing.
A bit more colour has also been added to the new-look Mazda 3 MPS, with both its door mirror housings and lower bumper being finished in a 'black mica' hue.
Under the bonnet drivers will still find a 2.3-litre turbo MZR unit that can help the car achieve 0-62mph in just 6.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 155mph.
However, the gear ratios have been spaced out marginally to improve performance and the exhaust quietened to make driving a Mazda 3 MPS a more relaxing experience.
As if all of this was not enough, the Japanese manufacturer has also announced two special editions of the Mazda 3 MPS – the Tamura and the Venture.
