Mazda is supremely confident that drivers will take to the all-new CX-5, boasting that it will be the best vehicle in its class.
The compact SUV is launched in the middle of next month and the Japanese manufacturer has claimed that "great performance, class-leading emissions and outstanding fuel economy" will help the vehicle stand out from its rivals.
The firm said that not many cars are built completely new from the ground up - the Mazda CX-5 is - and it will offer an enhanced driving experience that its rivals will struggle to match.
"We believe that the Mazda CX-5 will bring new customers to Mazda. The compact SUV segment is one that is growing and our challenge is to attract those customers who might be considering [other brands] to buy what will be the cleanest and most fuel-efficient vehicle in the segment," Mazda said.
The comments come shortly after Mazda UK held its first VIP tour to give potential customers the chance to drive the CX-5.
