Classic car fans will get the opportunity to witness to motoring greats at the Birmingham NEC this weekend. Both the Palm Beach MkII and Stirling Moss will be making at appearance on the manufacturer's stand.
The Allard Palm Beach is a small British roadster built by Allard Motor Company between 1952 and 1958, and the Mark II as pictured was introduced in 1956.
Sir Stirling Moss one of the most famous and revered racing drivers of all time will visit Alan and Lloyd Allard, son and grandson of racer and sportscar designer and manufacturer Sydney Allard, at lunchtime on Saturday 15 November on the Allard Sports Car stand.
Sir Stirling and Sydney Allard competed directly in the 1952 Montecarlo Rally (racing a Sunbeam Talbot and an Allard P1 Saloon respectively) and the 1953 Le Mans (Sidney in a JR and Moss in a Jaguar C-Type). Sir Stirling will no doubt enjoy reminiscing those times with the younger Allards.
The NEC Classic Motor Show takes place from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th November. Visitors are invited to come to the Allard Sports Cars' stand at 12.30pm on Saturday to see the newly restored Palm Beach MkII and a prototype Palm Beach MkIII rolling chassis.
