New Ford Fiestas made safer and more advanced

Ford has announced a range of upgrades to its ever-popular Fiesta range.

Motorists looking for a safe new Ford could find the Fiesta range more appealing now the manufacturer has rolled out an electronic stability programme across its vehicle line-up.

All newly-ordered Fiestas will be fitted with the function, bringing the range in line with Ford's large and medium-sized vehicle line-ups.

In addition, new Ford buyers opting for a Fiesta will also benefit from reduced CO2 emissions and Bluetooth connectivity in the top-of-the-range Titanium model.

The carbon output of the vehicles has been cut by four grams for the 1.25-litre model, by three grams in the 1.6-litre version and by five grams in the 1.6-litre Ti-VCT model.

Additional enhancements include heated door mirrors and an in-car entertainment bonus of remote steering-mounted controls, aux-in jack and two additional speakers in the Studio line-up, while the Titanium gets Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

A new ink blue colour is also being offered across the range.

Recent figures from Jato Dynamic highlighted that Ford's Fiesta is currently Europe's most popular car.
