The Ford Kuga line-up already offers hybrid options, including the Kuga Plug-in Hybrid, as well as powerful diesel and petrol variants, and now with the addition of the new Ford Kuga Hybrid, it gives drivers even more choice.
Commenting on the new model, Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford of Europe, said: “Each of our electrified Kuga models brings a unique set of benefits. For our new Kuga Hybrid, that includes fuel efficiency and driving range to rival diesel, and the effortless refinement of charging cable-free, pure-electric driving,”
Let’s explore some of the key features of the new Kuga Hybrid.
The new Kuga Hybrid delivers an impressive range of up to 600 miles on a single tank of fuel, with both the 1.1 kWh electric battery and the 2.5-litre engine working harmoniously to increase fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
In certain driving scenarios, including accelerating from a stationary position, the Kuga Hybrid can run solely on all-electric power, and the battery is recharged by regenerative braking, meaning it doesn’t need to be plugged in.
It delivers a smooth driving experience for a relaxing and easy journey, with different drive mode options to tailor the performance to the road ahead.
Installed with the latest driver aid systems and connected technology, the new Kuga Hybrid makes every day driving easier and safer.
A new Lane-Keeping system with Blind-Spot Assist is an optional feature for customers and marks the first time a Kuga has offered this. As standard, the new Kuga Hybrid comes with a wireless charging pad, Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system 8 with an 8-inch touchscreen, and a premium sound system for a luxury finish.
The FordPass Connect modem makes planning ahead easier, giving drivers access to Live Traffic updates and features other useful technology, including Vehicle Locator and Door Lock Unlock.
Since the release of the first line-up of Kuga SUVs, it’s become one of Ford’s most popular vehicles, especially for families.
Providing comfort like no other and a spacious interior, the Kuga Hybrid is designed to make family life easier, with great storage capabilities, boot space and a welcoming cabin area to ensure everyone enjoys the journey.
Roelant de Waard explained: “Ford is committed to offering a choice of electrified vehicles so that every customer can find the perfect solution to fit seamlessly into their life. No model demonstrates that better than Kuga”.
Orders are now be taken for the new Kuga Hybrid ST-Line Edition, Ford Kuga ST-Line X Edition and Ford Kuga Vignale models available for delivery in 2021.
