The brand new Nissan Note has now seen production work commence, as the car aims to make it to UK forecourts and showrooms in the coming months.
When the manufacturer opened up its order books in July, the car had already seen 14,000 pre-orders across Europe, proving the popularity of the Note model.
Senior vice president for Manufacturing, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management in Europe, John Martin said the Nissan Note will provide customers with an "unprecedented" combination of design, technology and safety features, usually associated with Nissan's premium brands.
The Note is tailored to the B segment customer, with the European market specifically in mind for the vehicle. Engineering and development work was carried out at the Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE) in England and Spain, continuing the European focus.
Nissan has said that the Note is intended to continue the manufacturers tradition of bold design, while delivering the very best in new technologies to a new market.
An Around View Monitor provides drivers with improved vision to help improve parking, while safety shield technology will use both sound and vision to warn the driver when objects or people are in the blind spot, in close proximity to the vehicle, or if you are drifting out of the driving lane.
Furthermore, the Nissan Note has improved aerodynamics and a more spacious interior. The car will also feature the NissanConnect infotainment system.
