Nissan has revealed its new Pulsar hatchback, which promises to provide sector-leading space and a flurry of safety technologies.
The new Pulsar reflects Nissan's passion for innovation and technology, such as the NissanConnect system, which has helped to transform its range over the last seven years.
The Pulsar boasts the longest wheelbase in its class of 2,700mm, meaning cabin space is maximised but, with an overall length of 4,385mm, it will still be easy to park in tight urban environments.
Fully integrated into the Pulsar's design, Nissan's advanced Safety Shield is a suite of systems and technologies that combine to offer a fully comprehensive 'safety net' for drivers.
Among the systems offered are forward emergency braking, moving object detection, lane departure warning and blind spot warning as standard.
The Pulsar also features Nissan's second-generation NissanConnect system, which includes full smartphone integration, Google, Send-to-Car and access to a wide variety of apps.
Engine options include a 1.2-litre DIG-T petrol unit with an output of 113bhp and a 1.5-litre dCi diesel variant generating 108bhp, plus, a 187bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine which will join the range in 2015. All of these are offered with Nissan's advanced XTronic automatic transmission.
