To celebrate the launch of the brand new Nissan Note, the manufacturer has taken part in a rather unique event.
The brand new B-segment car took to the water to demonstrate its new technologies, with Olympic rowers Helen Glover, Sophie Hosking and Polly Swann helping to take the car across the Eton Dorney Lake.
Opening up the 90 degree doors and putting oars out the side, the Note did look rather out of place on the water. However, the specially-modified vehicle performed remarkably well, thanks to its innovative features.
With their backs facing towards the intended finish destination, the rowers had to use the Note's 'Around View Monitor', which includes a 360 degree parking-system and Safety Shield technology. The four cameras - located at the front, rear and under each door mirror - provide a "helicopter-style top down view".
Furthermore, the car-come-boat was able to stay in its rowing lane by using the lane departure warning, blind spot warning and moving object detection systems.
Helen Glover, gold medallist in the London 2012 games, said: “I wish I could have a camera system like this in some of my races - it certainly would make seeing where my rivals a bit easier!”
