The PEUGEOT e-2008 impressed the jurors in a road test that highlighted its stylish design, low running costs and host of safety kit as standard.
Assessing the full electric PEUGEOT e-2008 against strict criteria, the Which? team looked at multiple factors including road handling, comfort and how economical the car is to run.
The PEUGEOT e-2008 was launched commercially in 2020 and was the second full-electric model to be introduced as part of PEUGEOT’s electrification strategy to provide a fully electrified range by 2025.
The e-2008 is capable of up to 206 miles of zero-emissions range from a single charge and using 100kW rapid charging, an 80% charge takes as little as 30 minutes.
The Peugeot e-2008 features PEUGEOT’s award-winning 3D i-Cockpit with a compact multifunction steering wheel, a configurable 3D head-up display panel and either a seven or 10-inch HD capacitive colour touchscreen.
The model comes fitted with the most recent advanced technologies, which includes PEUGEOT Connect SOS and Assistance, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go function, Lane Positioning Assist and Mirror Screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Additionally, battery charging and vehicle cabin preconditioning can be managed remotely via the MyPEUGEOT App using the e-remote control.
Which? commented: “The e-2008 builds on the stylish charm of its combustion counterpart and adds a refined (and potentially very cheap) drive.”
“Its range is adequate for most journeys and there’s plenty of space inside, despite its relatively compact dimensions.”
Julie David, Managing Director of PEUGEOT UK, commented: “It is a great privilege to have our full electric PEUGEOT e-2008 named as a Which? Best Buy product. As one of the UK’s leading consumer champions, Which? is an expert at identifying the best products for customers, and recognition for the e-2008 is testament to the hard work that has gone into our electric range. “
“We hope that the Which? Best Buy status will be an added incentive for drivers considering making the switch over to EV.”
