Peugeot has lifted the lid on its groundbreaking 208 GTi, which delivers "a more intense driving sensation".
On the 30th anniversary of its launch, the company has produced a compelling vehicle that is unlike anything it has ever produced.
Describing the model as the "most radical" 208 GTi in its history, Peugeot highlighted the power behind the car – a Euro6 1.6-litre THP petrol engine that produces 300Nm of torque.
Needless to say, the aesthetic of the GTi is emblematic of this punchy disposition. Sporty, assertive and compelling, this 208 is a sight to behold.
"The 208 GTi builds on the virtues of a strong identity, great attention to detail and in the style of the 208 GTi," explained Julien Kerlidou, 208 product manager at Peugeot.
"[It] takes on a more radical and brutish fashion, making the link with the incisive character of its dynamic performance."
The suspension of the model has been lowered, the track widened at the front and the rear, while the wheels are markedly larger. All of which helps deliver a more "pronounced sports car posture".
