One of the many vehicles making their debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show during September (10th to 22nd), the new Peugeot 308 Concept is set to provide motorists with a "radical" new design and drive.
The "ultra-sporty" concept car has taken all the boldness of the 308, but has attempted to provide more of an extreme sensation for drivers.
Peugeot has predicted that the 308 R Concept will attract "enthusiastic attention" at the motor show, with the bodywork demonstrating a classic sporty design, with a two-tone colour scheme of red and black.
The four-cylinder, 1.6-litre engine is able to provide a record specific power of nearly 170bhp/litre, while only producing 145g/km of CO2 emissions.
Maxime Picat, director general of automobiles Peugeot, said: “The new Peugeot 308, with its pure and sleek style, is a hatchback which carries the Marque’s upmarket ambitions. The 308 R Concept radicalises this boldness and enriches the expertise of Peugeot Sport to obtain extreme sensations.”
With an enhanced suspension, braking system and handling, the compact car is expected to make the driver "more at one in the car".
