The all-new Hyundai Tucson was revealed earlier this year and it’s set to be the most innovative and exciting Tucson to date.
With the first images of the N-Line model revealed at the beginning of the month, Hyundai has now published the details about the upcoming, plug-in hybrid model, along with prices and specifications for the whole range.
Let’s take a closer look.
Three trim levels will be offered across the Tucson range - SE Connect, Premium and Ultimate – with prices starting at £28,495.
Ashley Andrew, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor UK said: “We have taken a radical new direction with the styling of the all-new Tucson highlighted by its unique light architecture, but this compact SUV retains the characteristics that made its forebears so popular. There are many new technologies to enhance comfort and safety, as standard. The much-anticipated plug-in hybrid variant and sporty N Line trim will arrive next year, helping the Tucson retain its status as one of our most popular models.
As an entry-level, the SE Connect models will start at £28,495 and will be jam-packed with the latest technology features to make every day driving easier.
From cruise control and air conditioning to rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera, entry-level models are designed with you in mind. They are fully-equipped with superb safety systems including Lane Follow Assist and Lane Keep Assist, to ensure extra protection on every journey.
The bold exterior styling includes 17-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass and body-coloured bumpers, and as you step inside, you’re welcomed into a spacious cabin which features a leather steering wheel and gear stick for a luxury finish.
Following the SE Connect level is the Premium models, which start at £30,195.
In addition to the entry-level features, the Premium also includes LED headlamps, ambient interior lighting, heated front seats and smart adaptive cruise control with stop-go function. Premium models are designed with bold, 18-inch alloy wheels, with the option of 19-inch alloy wheels on Hybrid models.
The interior features a KRELL premium audio system with eight-speakers and wireless phone charging to keep you connected wherever you are. It is also equipped with even more safety features, including Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, for extra peace of mind.
Finally, the top-level model – Ultimate – starts at £32,895 and builds on the previous trim levels, with additional equipment and design elements included to optimise the overall driving experience.
From the panoramic sunroof and heated rear seats to the smart electric tailgate, Ultimate models are refined to perfection.
With nine colours to choose from - Polar White, Engine Red, Phantom Black, Dark Knight, Shimmering Silver, Silky Bronze, Amazon Grey, Sunset Red and Teal – the all-new Hyundai Tucson can be tailored to all tastes.
Further to the release of the prices and specifications, Hyundai has announced the details of the plug-in hybrid option.
Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, Vice President Marketing & Product at Hyundai Motor Europe, said: “The plug-in hybrid powertrain represents a new milestone in the Tucson range. With petrol, mild hybrid, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options, the all-new Tucson offers the widest range of electrified powertrains in its segment. This is just the latest proof of Hyundai’s commitment to electro-mobility.”
Equipped with a powerful 1.6-litre T-GDi Smartstream engine and a 66.9 kW electric motor, the all-new Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid will deliver an all-electric range of up to 31 miles.
