Consumers looking to purchase new vehicles could see prices for the models fall, an auto information group has suggested.
EurotaxGlass's has suggested those looking for new cars could grab themselves a bargain in the near future to counteract the effect of the Scrappage Scheme's end.
The price cuts could be particularly attractive to fleet buyers who are looking for certain tax benefits, the organisation suggests, stating that list prices rose by six per cent last year with some model lines increasing by double the amount.
"Manufacturers are planning to address this by either dropping prices on selected ranges, or by launching new entry-level models that will establish a new, lower price point for the range," commented Adrian Rushmore, managing editor at Glass's.
Among the new cars to launch this summer will be Volkswagen's fastest and cleanest performance Polo yet - the Polo GTI, as well as the new Audi A1 and the Volvo S60.
