Renault achieves impressive LCV market share

Renault has revealed the highest growth in fleet car and light commercial vehicle (LCV) market share of any volume manufacturer in 2010.

According to the company, it secured a cumulative fleet car share of almost 4.8 per cent, an increase of 2.2 per cent, while its overall UK market share for both cars and vans was five per cent.

The seven-seat Renault Grand Scenic was reportedly a strong performer in 2010, accounting for around a third of the firm's registrations in December.

Renault achieved a 13.2 per cent LCV market share in the same month, and its annual market share was around 7.5 per cent – its highest figure in over 20 years.

Darren Payne, Renault UK director of fleet and commercial vehicle operations, said: "These results prove that Renault is once again a strong and credible contender in the fleet market, thanks to a competitive model line-up and an industry-leading after-sales experience."

Meanwhile, the company recently launched limited edition Bizu versions of its popular Twingo, Clio, Megane and Scenic ranges, available until June.
