Orderbooks for the new 5 E-Tech model are due to opening in January ahead of the first demonstrators arriving in showrooms in March, with the car being one of the most hotly anticipated EVs to hit the market.
Already nominated for the European Car Of The Year alongside its sister model, the Alpine A290, the 5 E-Tech will be offered in three trim levels - evolution, techno, and iconic five – and with a choice of two powertrains,
The urban range will provide drivers with 90kw/120hp and has a WLTP range of 190 miles, with the comfort range offering 110kw/150hp with a WLTP range of 248 miles. All cars come with a selection of advanced safety assistance systems as standard with the 5 E-Tech offering comfortable seating for five and a practice 326 litre boot despite its small size.
A range of colours – including Pop Yellow! And Pop Green! which were both offered on the original car back in the 1970s – will be available at launch.
The Renault 5 E-Tech will be available to order in January from £22,995 OTR.
