SEAT drivers will soon be able to put their model to the test at one of the manufacturer's special customer racing series.
To be held across six race weekends and in six European countries, commencing in May 2014, the SEAT Leon Eurocup will provide customer teams with a real track experience. Dates and locations for the event will be revealed in the coming weeks.
At the events, SEAT will be launching the new Leon Cup Racer - a muscular, aerodynamic racing model capable of 330PS and primed for competition driving.
Additions to the latest model include a new front end, more substantial wheel arches and a roof mounted spoiler. According to the manufacturer, the car will retain the Leon design DNA, but will feature full-LED headlights and rear lights.
Powered by a two-litre, four cylinder turbocharged engine, the car is expected to tackle the tracks with ease and to deliver an unforgettable driving experience.
Jaime Puig, head of SEAT Sport, said: "The SEAT Leon Cup Racer is an excellent vehicle and will thrill our fans with some fascinating competition.
"The entire know-how of SEAT Sport has gone into the SEAT Leon Cup Racer. We are following on from the great sporting successes of years past.”
