The Sussex Trophy kicked off the iconic Goodwood Revival event last weekend, with 30 stunning 1950s sport prototypes racing into the evening.
Jon Minshaw and Phil Keen claimed victory in their Lister-Jaguar 'Knobbly', while Bobby Verdon-Roe came runner-up in his Ferrari 246S Dino after charging from seventh to second position in the second half of the hour-long race.
The track was opened with a huge parade of 'Mods and Rockers' on a variety of scooters and caf racers. Actor Phil Daniels, who shot to fame in the 1979 film 'Quadrophenia' that dramatised the conflict between the two groups, led the parade on a classic Lambretta.
Earlier in the day, crowds were wowed as a pair of Avro Lancaster bombers circulated in formation for the first time since 1964, as the Royal Canadian Air Force's machine joined the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's example, flanked by pairs of Spitfire and Hurricane fighter aircraft.
