The event was held at Seaton Carew Golf Club on Tees Road, little more than a mile away from the Bristol Street Motors Hartlepool Ford dealership, to raise funds for both The PFC Trust and the North East Stem Foundation.
Bristol Street Motors Hartlepool Ford showed its support for the event by sponsoring a special BBQ for those taking part, and also offered a 74-Reg Ford Puma to anyone who was able to hit a hole-in-one on the sixth hole – although it would prove to be a challenge too far for competitors with the car not being won.
The PFC Trust – the driving force behind the month-long UChangeLives campaign - works with a range of partners across the North East from its base in Hartlepool, with its focus on helping different community groups to realise their true potential and enrich the lives of those who make use of them.
A number of grants are available through UChangeLives, including an Early Years Fund for those working with young children, Athlete Grants operated by its sports arm Hartlepool Sport, and a new Rare Dementia Fund created to support individuals and their families in memory of local resident Lesley Connor.
The North East Stem Foundation meanwhile is seeking to break down barriers in the region to provide young people from all backgrounds with the opportunity to access STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education.
Alan Smith, Branch Manager at Bristol Street Motors Hartlepool Ford, was amongst those who took part in the event which was ultimately won by the team from Verso Financial Management.
The winners secured a four-day stay at the 2025 Open Championship, whilst more than £40,000 was raised which will be shared equally between the PFC Trust and the North East STEM Foundation.

“Although the team I was part of just missed out on finishing in the top five, it was a really memorable experience and one I’m pleased we had the opportunity to get involved with.”
