Vauxhall gave customers a first glimpse of the next model to join their range today the Vauxhall Viva.
The Luton brand will launch the brand new five-door model in summer next year resurrecting a name that hasn't been used by the car manufacturer for 35 years.
The Viva will become Vauxhall's entry-level model, sitting under the ADAM and the popular Corsa supermini, in the brand's hatchback range.
The new model's name pays homage to Vauxhall's original and hugely popular Viva. It was available from 1963 to 1979 and over 1.5 million Vivas were manufactured at Vauxhall's plant in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
Peter Hope, Vauxhall's Marketing Director said: "This bold, radical name will attract attention and p curiosity in the car."
Designed for modern, everyday life, the all-new model will share the original's clean lines, durability and practicality according to Vauxhall.
Offered at an extremely attractive price point, the Viva will have a five-door body style with either four or five seats. Viva will be well specified and come in a range of trims and equipment levels, which will hold great appeal in this rapidly growing sector.
