The new Vauxhall Antara "boasts greater refinement" than its predecessors, it has been stated.
According to a review published by the AA, the model is best suited to family use in urban environments, but its "part-time" four-wheel drive system also makes it capable of handling mild off-road driving.
The article stated that the new Antara is more dynamic and versatile than bulkier alternatives within its sector, while a raised driving position gives motorists a good view of the road ahead.
"Positioned to appeal to families trading up to something with more room and a greater level of versatility, and downsizers keen to retain some semblance of off-road control, this Antara offers plenty of space, kit and ability," the AA reviewer commented.
The review also noted that improvements to engine options have enabled Vauxhall to boost fuel efficiency and cut carbon emissions, while it was given most points in the 'family car appeal' category due to its "bash-proof interior".
Similarly, a review published by Honest John commented on how spacious the Vauxhall Antara is, even when sitting in the sixth or seventh seat.
