Vauxhall recently celebrated a landmark milestone at its production plant in Luton, Bedfordshire.
The firm has now seen 500,000 Vauxhall Vivaro vans roll of the production line.
Ten years ago the first Vivaro was built and sold by the firm and now more than half a million are in circulation.
Mark Stein, Vauxhall’s Luton plant director, said the quality of the build and the attention paid to the vehicle's ride are key indicators to the van's popularity.
"The Vivaro enjoys a huge success not only in the UK but also in Europe. The van is built to high quality standards and ensures an economical and comfortable ride whilst offering an impressive and practical loading space,” he commented.
Another reason for the high number of Vivaro sales could also be the numerous varints that Vauxhall offers.
Among the current Vivaro line-up is a panel van, a double cab model, the drop-side vehicle and the popular Combi series.
