Motorists looking to purchase a car with off-road capabilities this year could take an interest in the new Vauxhall Antara, due to go on sale in the UK this year.
Boasting a new exterior design, revised chassis and new engine technologies, the Antara range features an all-wheel drive system which combines low fuel consumption with enhanced traction.
The car will be available with a choice of two diesel engine configurations - a 2.2 CDTi with 163PS or 184PS - both of which meet Euro 5 emissions standards.
Drivers will be able to opt for manual or automatic transmission, as well as choosing between three trim levels - Antara Exclusiv FWD, Exclusiv AWD or SE AWD.
"To match its lively engines, the updated Antara now features a newly-tuned chassis that combines driving involvement and agility with a comfortable, supple ride. The speed-sensitive power steering has also been enhanced to offer more accuracy and feel," Vauxhall stated.
Vauxhall released a new, high-end ES Tech trim level Astra this month in order to compete with Ford and Volkswagen.
