The latest Vauxhall VXR8 will be unveiled at the Performance Car Show from Autosport International in January next year, the manufacturer has revealed.
It is set to feature a brand new supercharged engine, complete with an extra 150bhp and class-leading chassis technology.
According to Vauxhall, the car will be the "most powerful production car ever to emerge from Australia" and will put huge pressure on its competitors.
Stuart Harris, head of carline brand for Vauxhall, said the Performance Car Show is the perfect setting to unveil the first VXR8 to be released in the UK.
"While this is unashamedly one of the most powerful road cars you can buy in the UK, the GTS was developed by people who have a wealth of experience in motorsport, so putting it in front of thousands of car racing enthusiasts is a no-brainer for Vauxhall," he said.
The car will be able to achieve 576bhp and 545lb ft of torque, making it much more powerful than the previous LS3-engined VXR8.
All this helps the model to achieve 0.60mph in as little as 4.2 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 155mph.
